Why photography?
I honestly don't remember the first time I picked up a camera. My first camera was a Pentax K-1000, a gift from my parents when I was 14. As I reflect on what that gift has meant to me over the years, the rewards have been incalculable. My wife says that I'm happiest when I'm photographing. Although I don't think that is the only time I'm happy, I'm sure that there is truth to the comment. I have photographed family too many times to count, and the older I get, the more appreciative I am for the photographs. Here is one such image taken in the Fall of 1990. My wife I and had only been married for a few months, and I convinced my "new" in-laws to go for a walk on their property for a "pose" (not a small task!) ... Enjoy!
